WIT Networks, LLC, operating under the WIT Networks brand (“WIT Networks,” “we,” "our", or “us”), is committed to protecting your privacy. We provide cloud-based business communication services, including SMS and MMS messaging, VoIP, and managed UCaaS solutions. This Privacy Policy applies to personal data collected through our messaging services, delivered via long code (10DLC), toll-free messaging, and related platforms. It also covers data collected from prospective or current business customers, their end users, and anyone interacting with our messaging systems.
Except as outlined in this Policy, we do not sell or share your personal data without your consent. This Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and disclose information in connection with our services and in compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect or process the following categories of data:
- Message Recipient Information
- Phone number
- Message content (if necessary for delivery, logging, or troubleshooting)
- Time and date of message delivery
- Opt-in/opt-out status
- Customer (Brand) Information
- Legal business name and address
- Contact names, emails, and phone numbers
- EIN or Tax ID for regulatory compliance
- Campaign and message details submitted for registry (TCR)
- Network and Usage Data
- IP addresses, carrier routing logs, and traffic metadata (non-content)
- Throughput volume and delivery statistics
We do not knowingly collect or store sensitive personal information (e.g., SSNs, credit card numbers) via messaging services.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your data may be used for the following purposes:
- To provision and deliver SMS/MMS messages
- To comply with carrier and regulatory requirements (e.g., TCR, CTIA, FCC)
- To monitor and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse
- To support customer service and service improvements
- To meet legal obligations or respond to lawful requests
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share information:
- With The Campaign Registry (TCR) for brand and campaign registration
- With Sinch/Inteliquent as our upstream carrier partner
- With mobile carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.) for message routing and compliance
- With third-party service providers under NDA who assist in provisioning or support
- When required by law, subpoena, or government request
5. Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect messaging data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. Message logs are retained only as long as necessary for compliance or troubleshooting.
6. Data Retention
Message metadata may be retained up to 18 months for audit or legal purposes. Content data (if logged) is retained for a shorter window, typically 30–90 days, unless otherwise required by regulation or customer request.
7. User Rights and Choices
Message recipients may opt out of communication at any time by replying "STOP". Customers (Brands) may access or request deletion of their account or campaign data by emailing us at privacy@witnetworks.com or through our Contact Us page.
8. Children’s Privacy
WIT Networks messaging services are not intended for use by children under 16. We do not knowingly collect or process data from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted to this page and, where appropriate, communicated via email.
